The Owner

David Bosanquet is the proprietor of Competitive Professional Accounting.

Boasting over 16 years professional experience in public practice accounting, David is recognised by his clients for providing excellent advice and high standards of service, delivered with integrity and independence.

Completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting, from James Cook University in 1996, David also completed three years of Post Graduate studies undertaking the CPA Program through CPA Australia, and is a registered Certified Practising Accountant with CPA Australia.

Qualifications and study are augmented with over a decade of professional experience. David spent five years working with a CPA Accounting Firm in Cairns, prior to which, he spent five years with a Chartered Accounting firm. Both businesses were dedicated to providing tax and accounting services to both individuals and small business: David was an instrumental member of these businesses.

Born and bred in Cairns, David's knowledge of the area is advantageous when understanding clients' needs in the local region and economy. From a cane farming family, David has spent time working on the family property developing a diverse array of other skills, including: sugar cane farming, nursery operations, welding and horse handling.
